Becca Stevens

Becca Stevens

Jazzmen love her and have been worshipping her for years. Becca Stevens is taking a break from recording her albums in New York to set our stage alight. Her last album, Regina, saw her write as her alter ego and explore the subject of queens. Her fascination for Queen Elizabeth I forms the basis of the project that pays tribute to powerful female figures e.g. Ophelia and Venus. She sings Shakespeare with her band and covers Stevie Wonder (As)...Her latest project is unlike her previous records and more like a unique piece that you play in order and in full than a regular album. As you’d expect, the artist who performs with Snarky Puppy doesn’t stick to genres and brings poetry to folk, pop and rock. Indescribable and moving.
