Lianne La Havas SOLO

Lianne La Havas SOLO

At the tender age of 26, singer Lianne La Havas is back performing tracks from her second album, the critically-acclaimed Blood (2015) released three years after her equally lauded first record (Is Your Love Big Enough?). Her music embodies a melting pot. Lianne La Havas was born in London in 1989 to a Greek musician father and Jamaican soul-loving mother. She learnt to play the piano and guitar when she was 7, sang professionally as a teenager then made her debut with her then-partner in Paris Parade (a little sweet). All eyes were on the young singer whose wonderfully deep vocals ooze soul and bring to mind Jill Scott and Lauryn Hill. Lianne soon decided to go solo. She was signed by Warner Bros, recorded her first album in 2012 which won the BBC Sound of 2012 Award and was named Album of the Year on iTunes. A new “queen of soul” is waiting in the wings.
