Seu Jorge The life aquatic - A tribute to David Bowie

Seu Jorge, one of the most talented contemporary musicians in Brazil, was made famous in 2004 by the Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (loosely based on the Captain Cousteau’s adventures). He played David Bowie tracks on an acoustic guitar in the role of the singing sailor, Pelé do Santos. "Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs acoustically in Portuguese I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with." said David Bowie.

12 years later and the British star passed away suddenly on January 10th 2016. Seu Jorge has been on tour in America since November with a sensitive yet quirky tribute to the Thin White Duke. The Brazilian sings tracks by the famous original band and recreates bits of The Life Aquatic on stage. Expect to hear Bowie’s cult classics: Changes, Rebel Rebel, Five Years, Space Oddity.
