You can trust her smile: Nectar Woode is happy and comfortable with herself. This young singer and guitarist, who writes all her songs, grew up in England, in a creative universe: she has always been immersed in jazz and the West African high life. When she chose her idols, she turned to Erikah Badu, D’Angelo or Laureen Hill, before spending time in the new soul scene of London. This fertile profusion was worth it: her generous music, groovy yet soft, blending jazz, soul and sweet pop, her warm and luminous voice, as well as her joyful and positive message (Nothing To Lose was her first EP’s title, to be taken with enthusiasm, like she does) create a compelling antidote to the prevailing gloom!
