Skokiaan Brass Band

Danceable, joyful and generous, the brass music of Skokiaan Brass Band is characterized by the essence of New Orleans, where those musicians coming from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in France, recorded their last album Skoki Mama with local big names, such as the breathtaking singer John Boutté and the producer of Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Since this band is curious and nomadic, it also brought other influences from its different trips to Africa (Togo, Benin, Ghana), like the afrobeat and the high life, which it blended with the Crescent City’s jazz, second line and funk. After 10 years of encounters and exchanges, the musical cocktail is explosive, loaded with vitamins and radiant like the singer Lisa Caldognetto, who is also part of this astonishing travel.
