F.A.Q. – Payment details
Got a question? We do our best to answer all your questions in this cashless FAQ, but feel free to contact us if you cannot find the information you’re looking for!
Bank cards and contactless mobile payment methods NFC (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Paylib…) are the only payment methods accepted at the festival. These payment methods are the simplest and fastest to use!
Go to one of the two cashless banks to exchange your cash for a cashless card loaded with the amount of your choice. These two banks are located at the Cybèle and Théâtre Antique information points.
The festival has decided to cover the cost of the card and its activation: the cashless card therefore is free.
Cashless cards are only available at the festival banks (at the Cybèle and Théâtre Antique information points). There is no need to get one in advance if you have a bank card.
You can reload your cashless card with cash at the cashless banks located at the Cybèle and Théâtre Antique information points. You can also reload your cashless card by creating an online account once your card is in your possession.
To track your spending in real time, go to your cashless account or the Jazz à Vienne mobile app. Create your account and log in using your card (with the 6-character alphanumeric ID on the back of the card). You can track your spending and top-ups live. You can also ask staff at sales stands for your remaining balance.
If your card is lost or stolen, you can block it through your account if you have already created your cashless account. You can block your cashless card from your personal account. You can then create a new card that will be credited with the remaining balance from your lost card.
Creating an account is not required to use the cashless card. You can create and top up your card directly at the cashless banks. However, we strongly recommend creating an online account so you can block your card if lost or stolen, reload your cashless card online, track your spending history, generate an invoice, and request a refund.
The 40 cm cups (beer and soft drinks) are no longer returnable. We ask the public to return them to us at the end of the concert.
Wine glasses (€2) and pitchers (€3) still have a deposit. When leaving the festival, I can get a refund for this deposit by returning my cup at one of the Jazz à Vienne bars or return points, at the Théâtre Antique and at Cybèle. This allows you to recover the deposit, which will be refunded via a simple tap on your credit card or cashless card.
Since each card is equipped with a microchip, it’s best not to expose the card to extreme heat or submerge it in any liquid.
Cashless payment methods will also be accepted for other concerts at the Théâtre Antique during the current season. For all other dates, the bank card remains the primary payment method.
