Lettres sur Cour
An invitation to reading
For over twenty years, Jazz à Vienne has been welcoming writers from France and around the world to foster dialogue between the worlds of jazz and literature. This year, Lettres sur Cour has chosen to honour the Bruno Doucey publishing house, which promotes poetry that is vibrant and generous, open and accessible to all.
The 34th edition of Lettres sur Cour “Visas pour un monde ouvert” will take place from 26th of June to 28th of June in the courtyard of the MJC in Vienne, allowing the voices of poets and writers to resonate in the heart of the festival’s musical whirlwind. Public readings of books and poems, a literary buffet, carte blanche events, tributes: Lettres sur Cour is a rich moment of sharing, open to cultural horizons and conducive to encounters. This year, Lettres sur Cour is launching a typo-poetry workshop with Esther Szac. Between fiction and reality, resistance and resilience, childhood stories and odes to nature, this edition gives pride of place to interculturality and the plurality of narratives. These three days of poetic abundance will be punctuated by jazz improvisations with double bassist Fanny Bouteiller. The 34th edition of Lettres sur Cour will close on Sunday, 28th of June at 7 pm with a concert by Felsenmeer, as part of Super Dimanche – Face A.
