The Brazilian musician Lucas Santtana is known for his trademark synthesizer sound, yet he has shown since his first albums the rich palette of his colourful style: you may also hear acoustic guitar, fine string arrangements, electronic flavours, melancholic ballads reminiscent of Elliott Smith or Radiohead, rock influences and of course, bossa nova. Tom Zé's nephew and heir to the tropicalist movement, who dreams of a universal music, has kept on interweaving all these influences throughout the 2010s, relentlessly and lovingly blurring style boundaries.
