Stephen Hull Experience

Although during his early childhood he was nourished by the acidulous soul of the Motown label and willingly admits that he feels boundless admiration for Duke Ellington and Count Basie, the great architects of classical jazz, as a teenager, he fell in love with the diabolical blues. So stricken was he that aged barely 24, he became one of the undeniable spearheads of a new generation of especially promising guitarists and singers. Stephen Hull has invited harmonicist and vocalist Andrew Alli to join his red hot power trio for his concert at Jazz à Vienne, where he will be demonstrating his incredible talent and using his blazing guitar to seduce the audience with some crackling, feverish blues reflecting the tensions and energy rippling just beneath the surface of our time.
